Co-founders Shri Vijay Kasurde and the late Shri Hanumant Mahangade established the Vaishnav Charitable Trust (VCT) in 1993, with a mission to provide free medical treatment to anyone in need.

While on a pilgrimage to Alandi in 1992, Shri Kasurde experienced firsthand the hazardous conditions pilgrims often face, while lacking access to medical aid in the event of injury or emergency. The following year, Vaishnav Charitable Trust offered its first services, in the form of medical supplies and personnel, available free of charge to pilgrims throughout their journey.

Gratified by the experience of serving others, and inspired by the support and spiritual guidance of Shri Hari Bhakt Parayan Dattatray Maharaj Kalambe, Shri Hari Bhakt Parayan Shri Pandurang Maharaj Ghule, and Shri Hari Bhakt Parayan Rangnath Hande; Vaishnav Charitable Trust branched out further to reach others in need.

Today, Vaishnav Charitable Trust provides medicines and treatment to people in Mumbai, and in rural communities across Maharashtra, as well as to pilgrims.

Vaishnav Charitable Trust continues to grow, serving thousands across the state each year in its commitment to providing free and equitable access to healthcare.
